glenriding bunkhouse

Due to unforeseen circumstances this years glenriding bunkhouse weekend is at the latter end of the year. This is very much like the Rhyd-Ddu weekend with kayaking, walking etc. Its a great weekend away and always enjoyed by those who have been. Just ask any club member who has been before and it just may wet your appetite.Bookings will be taken later on in the year so you have plenty of time to think about it.See More

Hi Rick, Sure was. 1500m swim, 40k bike followed by 10k run. Totally new to kayaking. What is the best way of getting hands on?

Welcome to Bury Canoe & Kayak Club

Bury Canoe Club is located at Burrs Country Park in Bury, Lancashire. In the summer months, we meet most Sundays at 5pm to kayak on the river Irwell or in the training pool. In the Winter months (Nov-March) we run pool sessions at Radcliffe swimming baths. This is a great oportunity to improve your technique and skills.

BCKC holds a large amount of social events through out the year, from bunkhouse, camping and BBQ weekends and also the Christmas party in December. So, if your not into kayaking there is still something for you to enjoy. The club has a large family scene aswel as the white water warriors who venture out most weekends.

The club is mainly whitewater, but some members are promoting sea kayaking and canoeing within the club. We have full equipment to cater for these disciplines aswell. The club has a couple of sea kayaks and canoes to hire aswel as our large fleet of river boats and kit.

Burrs Country Park, Woodhill Road, Bury, Lancashire, BL8 1DA
